Paintings of Madrid

Today I present a couple of pictures of Madrid motifs painted in oil and whose main motif is two well-known corners. The first and under these lines is a view of the Gran Vía in an urban landscape of the eighties when this square looked like this and with some signs in the different shops or cinemas very different from those that exist now.

Cuadro de la Puerta del Sol

I have also painted one of the most peculiar and well-known urban elements of Madrid, such as the Metro stops or canopies. In this case I have painted in a square format one of the Gran Vía.

In the second painting you can also see a view from a few years ago, although not so many, of the Puerta del Sol with the famous banner of Tío Pepe on the roof of one of the buildings and that today is on the one on which the frame.

Both works are available on my personal website and can be seen and purchased from there.

The light of the Mediterranean sea in two oil paintings

Different types of light are the protagonists of two oil paintings that I have recently painted.

The Malvarrosa beach and a Mediterranean seascapes

Recently I have painted two oil paintings of two themes that have sea and light as protagonists.

The light that I sometimes like to portray is that of the Mediterranean, since there are strong contrasts between the light of morning or Levante and that of the wonderful sunsets or Poniente.
Two oil paintings with very different lighting but with a style close to Impressionism very typical of the type of painting that I usually do.
The brushstroke in both is usually in different directions and very loose offering lightness and ease.

Two seascapes in watercolour

A couple of marines that I have painted in watercolor recently from the north of Spain.

Two seascapes with similar composition and technique.

I have recently been working on two watercolors of two seascapes off the coast of northern Spain. First under these lines a seascape on the coast of Ferrol.

In particular of Doñinos beach with a sea of weather.
What I was looking for was to capture the color of the sea and the movement that exists in each place.

In this way in the following watercolor of some part of the Cantabrian can be differentiated from the first in color.

The sea is more green with bluish touches on the horizon but it differs well from the Atlantic blue of the Galician coast of the first marina.
The intention I had was also to make both watercolors with equal dimensions and with a very similar composition.

For the waves I have used some white gouache that is something similar to the tempera to offer greater volume and texture and movement in the sea.

The light in the painting

Today introduce an oil painting of a scene really endearing. This is a picture of my daughter and my wife on the beach. The idea of the composition of the painting came to mind one day when my daughter started walking. The painting with a very high viewpoint without skyline is an impressionist painting where light is the protagonist.

SOME LANDSCAPES OF SPAIN

Hi everyone,

Today I send a sample of my recent work in both oil painting and watercolors. Landscapes and seascapes of some different parts of Spain I've painted over the past months and today I want to share with you. The three oil paintings are impressionistic with a touch of very characteristic of this style and I liek develope.
Two of those landscapes are of trees where nature is the protagonist and the other is a marina at sunset in the Balearic Islands. On the other hand the three watercolors that show are in very different places together in Spain. The watercolor of the mountains is a sunset in northern Spain between Asturias and Cantabria. The second is a scene of a boat on the beach of Valencia and the third watercolor is a view of a beach in Granada. So they are all very different landscapes since Spain has a variety of landscapes all very different.

Small boat in Valencia, oil on canvas

Good morning,

Today introduced an oil painting of a sailboat sailing the Mediterranean.
This is a picture that at first glance the memory does Joaquín Sorolla painted tables and I can not hide that I love her painting the truth because what you see and learn from other artists after years after leaving just a way or another.

The large sail that extends obliquely from side to side of the canvas makes the note to Table luminous and overall scene and put it contrasts the blue sea and sky and the people who sail aboard the ship with his clothes red and white stand in the center of the table.
